Day 1

Welcome to Chiapas!

Upon arrival at Tuxtla Gutierrez Airport, your guide will warmly welcome you and escort you in a private transfer to the geological marvel known as Cañon del Sumidero (Sumidero Canyon), offering breathtaking views of the Chiapas region and a chance to observe diverse flora and fauna. Subsequently, you will proceed to the enchanting colonial city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, established in 1528 by Captain Diego de Mazariegos and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Check into your luxurious hotel, and the remainder of the afternoon is yours to explore and discover the magic that this place has to offer.

Day 2

San Cristobal de las Casas

Embark on a captivating city tour through the enchanting streets of this magical town, characterized by cobblestone pathways and adorned with vibrant, intricately designed facades. Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the region, exploring indigenous markets showcasing lively textiles, handcrafted treasures, and traditional culinary delights—a vibrant tapestry of the area's diverse heritage. Wander through the famed "andadores," and open your eyes to the amazing discoveries that await. For lunch, we recommend the "Esquina de San Agustín," a charming plaza offering a diverse array of culinary options. In the late afternoon, indulge in visits to the jade and cacao museums, where you'll gain insight into the chocolate-making process and even have the opportunity to savor some delectable creations.

Day 3

El Chiflón Waterfalls and Reserva de las Guacamayas

We depart from San Cristóbal de Las Casas towards the stunning Chiflón Waterfalls, where crystal-clear waters cascade in a majestic dance, surrounded by lush vegetation of sugar cane fields and palm groves. Our journey continues to Chajúl, home to the Macaw Reserve or Reserva de las Guacamayas, a sanctuary dedicated to protecting the magnificent species of the scarlet macaw, a bird of unparalleled beauty and grandeur that you can admire in its natural environment. Accommodation is provided in rustic cabins, perfectly complementing the immersive experience in this natural paradise.

Day 4

Montes Azules Reserve

In the morning, we embark on an exploration of the enigmatic Guacamayas Reserve, where a thrilling expedition intimately connects us with Mother Nature. We navigate in a picturesque boat through the waters of the Tzendales River, leading us to the majestic Montes Azules Reserve. This is home to the most extensive evergreen forest in all of Mexico, a paradise that shelters numerous endangered species. 

Day 5

Las Nubes, Montebello Lakes, and San Cristobal de las Casas

Embark on an exhilarating morning adventure as we explore a captivating site known as "Las Nubes" (The Clouds). As its name says, you will be enchanted by its scenic viewpoints that reveal the breathtaking natural landscape. Following this enriching journey, we venture to the pristine "Lagos de Montebello" (Montebello Lakes), the most exquisite lake region in Mexico. Here, vast expanses of pines, oaks, and jungle create a lush backdrop, and a collection of lakes presents a mesmerizing display of crystal-clear waters in a kaleidoscope of colors. The day concludes as we arrive in San Cristóbal de Las Casas to rest after a long day.

Day 6

San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán

In the morning, we embark on our journey to the indigenous communities of the Tzotzil ethnic group, immersing ourselves in a world of unique traditions and culture in San Juan Chamula. Here, we appreciate the blend of contemporary and ancestral traditions. Later, we head to the community of Zinacantán, where we visit their church and a family cooperative to observe women working on the waist loom, an ancestral art from pre-Columbian times. We admire the beauty of the looms and then have the opportunity to step into the kitchen, where we enjoy a regional drink and, if we're lucky, some delicious handmade tortillas. After concluding our visit, we return to San Cristóbal de Las Casas where you will have time to rest and enjoy this magical place.

Day 7

Agua Azul Waterfalls, Misol-Ha Waterfalls, and Palenque Archaeological Zone

You will leave behind San Cristobal de las Casas early in the morning, heading to Palenque, making a stop at Agua Azul Waterfalls, where you can marvel at the deep indigo blue of the water caused by the minerals found in its depths. We will then proceed to the Misol-Ha Waterfalls, which rise majestically to a height of 30 meters, surrounded by lush tropical jungle that creates a beautiful and refreshing environment. Finally, we will arrive at the Palenque archaeological site, a Mayan city that stands out for its rich architecture and sculptures that surprise and marvel us. After concluding our exploration, we transfer to your luxury hotel located in the city of Palenque.

Day 8

Usumacinta River, Yaxchilán, Bonampak

Today we will go on an exciting expedition navigating the majestic Usumacinta River, with a captivating natural beauty. Later we will continue to the mystical Yaxchilán Archaeological Site where history comes to life through its impressive sculptures, and the connection with nature is inevitable. Finally, we will top up with the fascinating Bonampak Archaeological Site, whose name, "Painted Walls," reveals the treasure it holds. The most amazing murals of the Mayan World await you, awakening your awe and admiration. Tonight, you'll be resting in a unique hotel nestled in the heart of the Lacandona Jungle.

Day 9

Lacandona Jungle

Today, get ready for an unparalleled experience in the Lacandon Jungle. You'll embark on a guided walk led by the indigenous Lacandon community, a culture that calls itself Hach Winik, “true people”. You will explore the natural beauty of the area and get a glimpse of their great wisdom. You won't be able to resist observing in detail the richness of fauna and flora that this magical place offers. You’ll get a refreshing dip in one of the most beautiful waterfalls named Mactuni-Ha, where you'll have free time to swim and relax. Upon returning from the hike, a delicious meal prepared by Lacandon hands awaits you before returning to the hotel.

Day 10

Villahermosa and Back Home

Time to go back home! At the designated time we will head to the Villahermosa airport to catch the return flight home. We already miss you!
