5 days

Embark on a captivating 5-day journey through Mexico's capital, where history, art, culinary delights, archaeology, and vibrant street art converge to create an unforgettable experience that will leave you yearning for more.

Day 1

Welcome to Mexico City!

Arrive in vibrant Mexico City where you'll be kindly welcomed and transported to your luxury hotel in a private transfer.

Day 2

Historic Center, Paseo de la Reforma, and Bellas Artes

Prepare yourself to begin the adventure, but first, enjoy a delicious gastronomic experience for breakfast in your hotel!

Your itinerary encompasses a guided city tour along the central stretch of Paseo de la Reforma, which is not only one of the city's primary boulevards but also a significant symbol. Depending on the season, the stretch is surrounded with flowers and a variety of expositions. Along this path lies the Ángel de la Independencia, an icon of national pride that commemorates Mexico's independence from Spain. You will make an exclusive visit to the neoclassical Castillo de Chapultepec, constructed on a high hill in Chapuletepec’s park; with numerous rows of windows, a fascinating history, and an elegant vibe that contrasts itself with a spectacular modern cityscape.

Later on, you will be visiting Mexico's historic center, a vibrant mixture of culture and history. As you stroll through the charming streets, you'll encounter architectural marvels like the iconic Palacio Nacional and the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral. The heart of the ancient Aztec capital, the Templo Mayor Azteca, stands as a testament to Mexico City's rich past, and the bustling Zócalo, with its lively atmosphere. The historic center is not merely a place; it's a journey through time, where every cobblestone whispers stories of the city's resilience and evolution. You will have time to enjoy lunch at one of the many typical renowned restaurants. And finally, you will be wrapping up the day by enjoying a Mexican folkloric ballet at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.

Day 3

Xochimilco and Coyoacán

Experience the mystical sunrise aboard a trajinera in Xochimilco's canals, letting the dawn's tender touch awaken your soul in… This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back 1,000 years; you will flow along chinampas, small plots of land constructed on the waterways using Mesoamerican farming techniques. Delight in a delicious lunch cultivated and prepared by local communities and learn about their traditions. You'll also have the option to visit an axolotl farm, dedicated to preserving these mystical amphibians, known for their remarkable ability to regenerate body parts, which unfortunately are near to extinction.

Later on you will make your way to Coyoacán, famous for its charming cobblestone streets, vibrant art galleries, colorful architecture, and bustling artisan markets. It provides a tranquil village-like atmosphere, making it easy to forget that you're in a metropolis of 22 million people. You will be visiting Coyoacán's Market, full of narrow lanes filled with local merchandise and you'll be able to taste unusual and traditional Mexican treats. Afterwards, you will visit Frida Kahlo's Blue House, the birthplace and final resting place of the renowned Mexican artist, now transformed into a museum celebrating her life. Learn about her journey to becoming an iconic cultural figure in Mexico and beyond before returning to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day as you please.

For an exquisite dining experience, we recommend exploring the culinary delights of Polanco, one of the most renowned districts in Mexico. You'll discover a variety of restaurants catering to various gastronomic preferences. Take a leisurely stroll through its elegant streets and enjoy a memorable dinner in a refined atmosphere.

Day 4

Teotihuacan Hot Air Balloon Ride & Mezcal and Tequila Tasting

Early this morning, wake up for a private hot air balloon ride over the Valley of Teotihuacán, witnessing the stunning sunrise illuminating the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon as they pass beneath you. After your flight over this vast pre-Hispanic religious and ceremonial center, head to a unique breakfast experience within a cave-themed restaurant, where you will savor typical dishes combining the flavors of local cuisine with the culinary heritage of pre-Hispanic times. Then, you'll continue to explore Teotihuacán on foot with your bilingual guide, getting to know the rituals, cosmology, beliefs, and daily lives of its pre-Aztec inhabitants. Return to your hotel for lunch and free time. The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

As the sun sets, get ready for an unforgettable tequila and mezcal tasting journey in the Roma neighborhood. Delve into the distinct flavors of Jalisco and Oaxaca as you indulge in a 6-course tasting of these iconic spirits, expertly paired with traditional Mexican dishes. This neighborhood offers a perfect fusion of history, art, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Adorned with Art Deco architecture, delightful parks, stylish cafes, and a bohemian charm, it creates an enchanting atmosphere, ideal to getting lost in its charm.
