If you find yourself with extra days in Mexico City, we highly recommend exploring Tepozotlán and Puebla. Day 1
Mexico City – Tepoztlán
We'll pick you from your hotel in the morning and transport you privately to Tepoztlán, where you'll enjoy your stay at a magical boutique retreat where you can relax, savor delightful cuisine and wines, stroll through beautiful gardens, take a refreshing dip in the pool with a spectacular view, and indulge in the spa's ancestral treatments by expert therapists—an authentic haven of relaxation.
Later in the afternoon, explore the historic center, indulge in indigenous cuisine at the local market, browse the unique crafts, and don't miss the chance to try Tepoznieves, offering a variety of delicious ice creams. Day 2
Tepoztlán – Puebla
Today, you have the option to spend the morning and early afternoon relaxing at the hotel or embark on a hike to the Aztec Temple “El Tepozteco”, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and learn about the magical theories of this archaeological zone. We'll tailor the schedule to your preferences to ensure you have the best experience.
Later, we'll keep on our way to Puebla for about a 2-hour ride along the majestic Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes, as well as a picturesque cactus-filled landscape. You will be accommodated at the Banyan Tree Hotel and spend the rest of the day indulging in a private tour of the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cityscape is adorned with vibrant buildings, intricate facades, and charming cobblestone streets, creating a delightful ambiance. Don't miss the chance to savor the iconic mole poblano, as Puebla is its birthplace. Explore the exquisite Talavera pottery, renowned for intricate patterns and vibrant colors. Admire the numerous churches and cathedrals showcasing stunning religious art, including the must-visit Puebla Cathedral with its ornate interiors and other gems like Santo Domingo.

Day 3
Puebla – Tehuacán
It’s time for some natural wonders! We continue towards an enchanting plateau nestled within the Tehuacán and Zapotitlán Biosphere Reserve, a place of unparalleled authenticity and beauty. You will explore one of the most extraordinary deserts, rich in flora and fauna, in the Tehuacán Valley, named the "place of gods."
Delve into the geological eras and the expansive world of plants on the plateau; some species have called this place home for centuries. For birdwatching enthusiasts and nature lovers seeking profound immersion, this landscape is an ideal haven to observe green macaws and wander through the unique forests of giant cacti, unmatched in size globally, soaring to the height of a building. After a fascinating day, we will return to Puebla.

Puebla – Mexico City
Following a delightful breakfast, it's time to return to Mexico City.
